Making recycled paper is an excellent hands-on activity for students to learn more about
recycling. Chittenden Solid Waste District has a deluxe paper making kit available for loan.
The kit includes a tub, blender, professional screens, and everything you'll need for
class of 40 -- just add paper and water!
Whether your class is studying the art, science, or history of paper-making, making recycled
paper is popular with students of all ages. CSWD also has curricular materials ("All About Paper") to use with the paper-making kit.
Both may be borrowed for up to two weeks at no charge. To borrow the paper-making kit and "All About Paper", contact CSWD.
