Recycling Bins, Decals and Posters

CSWD doesn’t pick up your recycling, but we DO provide the bins! We also provide free brochures, decals for recycling carts and Dumpsters, as well as posters for businesses and institutions within Chittenden County.

Bins For Your Home

CSWD provides each household with up to three blue recycling bins at no charge. The bin is a 16-gallon rectangular box made from recycled HDPE (#2 plastic). It measures 16″ high x 16″ wide x 19″ deep.

Where to get them

• CSWD Administrative Office (Williston)
• All CSWD Drop-Off Centers
• Some CSWD member town offices or their public works department

Some private haulers provide their customers with recycling carts (large wheeled containers with lids) and some may deliver the 16-gallon bins to their residential customers. Contact your hauler for cart availability and bin delivery options.

The City of Burlington is also making carts available to all residents for a fee.  Contact Burlington Department of Public Works for cart availability and bin delivery options.

Bins For Your Workplace

CSWD will provide up to fifty 4-gallon deskside bins to Chittenden County businesses. This bin measures 13″ high x 8″ wide by 13″ deep. We can also mix in some of the 16-gallon residential-style bins for areas such as break rooms or other areas with more use. Please use our contact form to arrange for your bin pickup or delivery.

Decals

We will provide this recycling decal for the side of your free office recycling bins.

Posters and Signs

These downloadable posters and signs are useful for dorms, break rooms, kitchens, multi-unit residential buildings, schools, events and other areas. Posters are also available for no charge from CSWD for use within Chittenden County.
