Tire Round Ups
Tire Round Ups are specific days that we accept tires from Chittenden County residents for no charge. CSWD holds two Tire Round Ups each year to let residents know about year-round recycling options for tires and to encourage proper disposal.
Tires are accepted year-round at all CSWD Drop-Off Centers (DOC’s) for a fee, ranging from $2.75 to $5.25 ($2.25 to $3.75 at the Williston Drop-Off Center) for each car, van, or light truck tire, and are based on tire rim size. Tires with rims over 19.5 inches are charged higher fees. Tires on rims are charged an additional $1. For other tire fees, see the A to Z List.
Large loads of tires are accepted at the Williston DOC only for $200 per ton.
Tire Round Ups are for Chittenden County residents only, and there is a limit of 4 tires per household (8 at the Williston DOC). A representative of the household must be present with identification for tires to be accepted at the Round Up. Residents are responsible for transporting and unloading all items brought to the Round Up.
CSWD also offers Appliance Round Ups on separate days.
