Recycling is a great way to conserve resources, reduce pollution, and save energy. Just place your bottles, cans, mixed paper, and #1-7 plastic containers and packaging together in the same bin! CSWD also provides FREE recycling bins for residents and businesses to help you get started.
Recycling is more than just a good idea. It is also mandatory for all residents and businesses in Chittenden County. Since curbside collection is not
provided by most towns (except Burlington and Westford), residents have two options for recycling:
1. Contract with a private hauler for collection at your home.
2. Use a CSWD Drop-Off Center.
Please note: Most quantities of blue bin recyclables are FREE at all Drop-Off Center locations. Click here for a detailed list of fees.
