The Rover

The Rover, CSWD’s mobile hazardous waste collection unit, accepts a wide variety of household hazardous waste at no charge from Chittenden County residents only. Business waste will not be accepted at the Rover.

The Rover has gone into hibernation for 2011 and will start making the rounds again in July 2012. We will post the new schedule on this page in early 2012.

The Environmental Depot, CSWD’s permanent hazardous waste facility, is open YEAR-ROUND in South Burlington. The Environmental Depot accepts the same materials as the Rover PLUS MORE at no charge from Chittenden County residents and from CSWD businesses that qualify as Conditionally Exempt Generators (CEG’s).
