Did you know that there are alternatives to compostable plastics if you are interested in setting up a composting system for your event, school, restaurant or business?
In fact, most paper products such as paper plates and cups can be composted as long as they do not have a plastic coating. Paper towels and napkins are compostable too! Choose unbleached products if available!
Below is a list of common everyday products that you can find at your local grocery store that can be composted. So next time you want to plan for that zero-waste event or encourage composting at school or work, think outside the box and head to your nearest grocery store aisle!
